Campaign execution

A strong edit still needs the right permissions and publishing conditions.

Treat the brief as the acceptance criteria for the entire job, including the source, account, caption, publication and submission. Creative quality and operational compliance need separate checks.

03

Evidence

A live post is distinct from an accepted submission

01

Public access is not a reuse licence

Identify the source owner, permitted material, time range, platforms and usage period. The game publisher, speaker, footage owner and music owner may differ.

Permission to cut a video does not automatically clear third-party audio inside it. Resolve uncertain rights before producing commercial derivatives.

02

Adapt guidance without losing conditions

An agency can write an original local operating guide, but it should preserve underlying campaign prohibitions, required attribution and delivery conditions. Link the accepted source brief and its version.

A new logo does not make third-party documentation your original work or remove its obligations.

03

Select music for both relevance and permission

TikTok recommends its Commercial Music Library for content promoting a brand, product or service. TikTok commercial music guidance. A game-matched sound still needs the right commercial permission, territory and platform scope.

Availability in one app does not prove permission to reuse the audio elsewhere.

04

Commercial disclosure is a separate setting

TikTok explains a content disclosure setting for promotional content. TikTok commercial disclosure. A campaign hashtag should not be treated as a substitute for a required disclosure.

Review claims, calls to action, brand mentions and mandatory labels against the accepted brief.

05

Check saved hashtags

Choose relevant topics rather than unrelated popular labels. Where the editor offers suggestions, select the intended tag, save and reopen the page.

Where accessible, inspect the public tag destination too. Bold text alone is not evidence of indexing or reach, and selecting a hashtag cannot guarantee distribution.

06

Match every caption to its file

Give each video a content identifier and attach its caption, audio and destination account. A phone gallery may reverse transfer order.

Verify the opening frame and duration before selecting a clip. If the selected video changes, check that the old caption did not remain.

Review any campaign restrictions on repeat footage or variations.

07

Finish the publication and submission checks

Open the live post under the correct account and read back its caption and audio before moving on. Then submit the URL to the matching campaign and preserve the destination's confirmation.

Read the actual campaign deadline rather than applying one universal time limit. An alarm or local queue is not proof of acceptance.

08

Keep an actionable error record

A rights issue, publishing restriction and rejected submission require different fixes. Record the actual reason before deleting or reposting.

A support request should include the public URL, campaign identifier, timestamp and error text. Passwords, session cookies, identity documents and bank details do not belong in a campaign chat.
